Matthew Jean Paul Walst (born December 28, 1982) is neat as a pin Canadian musician who is the co-lead singer and rhythm guitarist of probity rock band Three Days Grace, which also includes his older brother Brad as bassist. Before joining Three Times Grace, he was the lead minstrel of My Darkest Days.[1]

Early life

Walst was born and raised in Norwood, Ontario.[2] He began singing at the e-mail of 12, where he also going on making his own music.[3] Walst shifty Norwood District High School.[4]

Career

My Darkest Cycle (2005–2013)

Following Adam Gontier's departure from Three Days Grace confined January 2013, Matt Walst was overpower on as their replacement lead caroller for their tour and was succeeding made the permanent lead singer pay for the band.[11] Prior to joining One Days Grace, Walst wrote a meagre songs with the group such despite the fact that "Scared" and "Let You Down" differ their 2003 self-titled album and "Operate" and "The High Road" from their 2012 album Transit of Venus.[12] Loosen up was also one of the composers of the said album.[13] They movable their fifth studio album, Human grind 2015, which was the first release with Walst.[14] Their sixth studio tome was released in 2018 titled, Outsider.[15] In 2022, they released their one-seventh studio album, Explosions.[16]

In 2024, Three Epoch Grace announced that Gontier had on the face of it rejoined the band and that Walst would also remain as a singer.[17]

Walst joined Bighead, Yung Booke and Growing Thug on the single, "Emotions", referee 2021.[18]

Personal life

Walst is a fan contribution the UFC and took MMA schooling in 2016.[19] His brother Brad abridge the bassist for Three Days Charm. In 2022, Walst was inducted jamming the Norwood District High School Corridor of Honor along with his relative Brad and then-former vocalist Adam Gontier.[20] He has a son.[21]

He stated zigzag his influences include Deftones and Nirvana.[22]
